Handwriting Analysis Letter A lowercase<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Letter “a” is the first letter in our alphabet and the first vowel. Graphology tells us letter “a” lowercase and letter “o” are among the so called ovals. <\/b>Ovals are not included in any of the studied graphical aspects <\/a>and are circles that are situated in the middle zone of writing.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graphology <\/b>is a projective technique that analyzes handwriting in order to get to the deepest in the personality of the human being. This technique applies the symbolism of graphical space<\/a> of Max Pulver,<\/strong> describing three zones: Upper, central and lower zones. According to this theory, ovals occupy the middle zone <\/b>or central area <\/strong>of writing and are considered the center \u201ccenter of the graphical world\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mu\u00f1oz Espinalt defines the oval as the \u201c<\/span>synthesis of personality\u201d <\/b><\/span>because it expresses the most intimate feelings and it represents the most consolidated and desired interests of people. The zone of the center of handwriting symbolizes the <\/span>\u201cEgo\u201d of the individual.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to achieve the most reliable interpretations it is essential that the Graphologist incorporates a solid knowledge on Psychology. Let us remind that Graphology is based on Psychoanalysis, in the projective techniques and in neurosciences.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ego of the individual is who organizes the impulses for those not to contradict each other with moral values. The Ego has functions like: perceiving, thinking, relating to others. It acts regulating inner impulses for those to be expressed in the outside world without generating conflicts. For this purpose, it uses tools called <\/span>defense mechanisms of the ego<\/a>.<\/b><\/i><\/span> These act subconsciously and <\/span>do not <\/i><\/span>change reality, but they try to diminish the anxiety reality causes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sigmund Freud<\/strong>, Neurologist, Psychiatrist, called \u201cThe Father of Psychoanalysis\u201d, born in Austria in 1856 investigated the mind of the human being and elaborated two theories of personality. Freud described the functioning of the mind and the characteristics of its structure as a <\/span>model<\/i><\/span> in which schematizes the <\/span>conscious mind<\/i><\/span> as the tip of an iceberg, where we can only see the conscious, but underneath and submerged as the rest of the iceberg in the deep of the ocean there is the subconscious mind, where the impulses and the most primitive desires interceded by the preconscious dwell.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Psychoanalysis <\/i><\/span>is a method which purpose is the treatment of mental diseases. The psychoanalytic theory explains the behavior of human being. It affirms that instinctive impulses are repressed. They stay in the subconscious, affecting our present life. Relating the life of each individual with the submerged material of the subconscious allows understanding what is the function and the importance. Through graphological tests, it is possible to reveal the expression of the subconscious in handwriting. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second psychoanalytic theory, Freud describes the psychological apparatus in three instances: Ego, Id and Superego. The Ego can be seen in the evident conducts and in all kinds of graphical productions, such as drawings and scrawls. It represents the so called \u201cprinciple of reality\u201d, which is the part of personality that allows us discovering the outer world, the inner world, adjusting and acting. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to M. Xandr\u00f3, the oval of letter \u201ca\u201d expresses our <\/span>personal ego<\/b><\/span> and the world of our most rooted and close interests. The details of the oval in letter A lowercase are very important. Any variation in their initial and final strokes, whether they are open or closed, whether they contain angles, arches or curves are fundamental at the moment of interpretation. Alterations in the execution of the oval of letter “a” always express some situation the individual is going through. It is associated to communication and to the degree of exteriorization of emotions through conduct. The aspects that are studied in the letter are <\/span>abreaction <\/b><\/span>and <\/span>shape.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to its abreaction <\/i>it is classified into open or closed<\/b>, <\/b><\/i>and will be more positive when it is opened towards the right and upwards, which symbolically expresses communication and extraversion towards others. It means openness to give as well as to receive unconditional communication.
